I feel as I have got older, I have become increasingly more concerned about my lifestyle. I am more aware about my lack of working out and my terrible diet. Now that I have kids, I want to be on this earth longer to be a part of their lives. I also want to be that parent who does things with their kids. I also want to create a healthy lifestyle to pass down to my kids.
My goal is to be more intentional and selective about what I put in my body. I also will plan on being more active. These are conversations my husband and I have all the time. We keep saying “we need to be better” but this time I plan to start being better and make the change for good. I want to be a sort of “micro crunchy mom.”
Being in the military, working out is part of our everyday. But honestly working out is such a chore. I know that working out has so many health benefits that I want to pass on to my daughters’ so now that I have the time I plan on forcing myself to work out about 6 days a week. That includes weightlifting and running. If I force myself to do it, I hope that I will learn to love it.
