Stardust & Self-Discovery

A woman who decided to go on a journey to find her hobbies and passions…….but most importantly she is on an adventure to find herself again!

Life happened

It has been a while. I was hoping to post at least once a week, but life was life. After my husband as decided to join me on this lifestyle journey, we decided it would also be best for our children. My husband and I sat down and had a great conversation about why we are doing this. What we want to achieve. Finally, how we think we can do it. But of course, we know we will have to adjust as needed. We of course decided to start this family journey after we got back from a family vacation to the Phoenix area.

The past several weeks my husband and I celebrated our 5-year wedding anniversary. Our oldest daughter turned the 10. Our oldest also starred in her first ever play. I was so excited and happy for her because she got over her stage fright. My husband and I both celebrated our 32nd birthdays and as I had mentioned earlier, we took a family vacation. That family vacation was amazing. We didn’t do anything spectacular or exciting by any definition. We visited my family so that they could finally meet my baby I had back in November. It was so exciting to see my family holding and loving my baby but also my oldest daughter the way that I love them. My oldest had a blast swimming EVERY single day and of course my family watched the kids to allow my husband and I to sneak away. But I will say driving over 9 hours both ways with 2 kids and 2 dogs is not fun!! But we survived.

Since returning we have been focused on limiting our screen time every single day and limiting how much processed sugars and foods we are eating. It has been difficult, but those processed foods and sugars are terrible and really addicting. I will say that my oldest is having the most difficult time with the changes. We are making these changes she does not think are necessary and on top of that she is a preteen who is growing up and dealing with all the stuff that comes with puberty. But if we stick to this and we set the example she will hopefully get on board.
